Mary Rose Sauce

I usually use this to go with a prawn cocktail starter, although it will work with any seafood starter or salad. It has a sharp zing, followed by a slightly hot aftertaste, which can be adjusted according to taste.

Ingredients

  • 10 tbsp Mayonase
  • 2 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp Cayenne pepper
  • Freshly milled black pepper, to taste
  • Method

    1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl. It's that simple! Serve with prawns or other seafood.

    Notes

  • You can increase the lemon juice to give it a sharper flavour
  • You can increase the cayenne pepper to give a hotter aftertaste
